You might recall when I blogged about my birthday I wrote, "As for birthday presents, I'll be blogging about those soon. Some have to do with cooking and some to do with my weight loss. I'm going to keep you in suspense awhile since it is getting late." Well I'm going to tell you what Dan got for me...

Angela & Dan on 5/30/2010

Dan arranged for me to meet with a wardrobe consult! Tomorrow is my first meeting with Sydney. She's going to go through my closet and tell me what not to wear. Then on Wednesday she's going to go shopping with me.

I'm nervous and excited at the same time. If you know me well, you know my wardrobe is awful enough to land me spot on the TV show called "What Not to Wear". I've been a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal for most of my life. I seriously lack style.

On top of my lack-of-fashion sense, I've lost a over 40 pounds in the last year so hardly any of my clothes fit me right. Even my shoes are a problem because they rub and cause blisters. Now that I'm so close to my goal, it is time to start working on a new wardrobe. A whole new wardrobe is not going to happen over night, but this is going to be a nice start. I feel so blessed to have Dan in my life and am so thankful for his thoughtfulness.

One of the questions Sydney asked by email was, "Is there a celebrity whose style you really admire?" I didn't have an answer and have sought help via facebook and twitter. I've gotten, Julia Roberts, Selma Hayek, and Jacqueline Kennedy as responses thus far. The problem I'm having with each of those suggestions is I can only seem to find photos of them in evening attire. I really need daytime/everyday sort of looks.

I think it may be easier to figure out a character's daytime style from TV/movies than it is to gather an actress's style. So I'm asking for your help here too (please leave a comment). Which TV or Movie character has a style you think that I could pull off?

Thanks for your help! (I need all the help I can get on this one.)
