Spicy Roast Beef Ciabatta
January 14, 2011

A little bit of spice is nice and for this Roast Beef Ciabatta sandwich, and that spice comes from my Dill Chipotle Spread. The Havarti cheese compliments both the beef and the dill in the spread.
Note: If you can't find Havarti, Monterey Jack will do nicely as well.
Ingredients
- 1 Ciabatta Roll (280 cal.)
- 3 slices Roast Beef (45 cal.)
- 2 slices of tomato (7 cal.)
- 1 slice Havarti Cheese (80 cal.)
- 2 teaspoons Dill Chipotle Spread (~50 cal.)
Directions
Turn on the oven and set it to broil.
Prepare some Dill Chipotle Spread. Cut open the ciabatta roll and spread 1 teaspoon of the Dill Chipotle Spread on each half of the sandwich. (If your roll is big, use both teaspoons on one side only.)
Place the rolls on a baking sheet (with the spread side up of course). On what will be the bottom half of the sandwich, arrange 3 slices of Roast Beef. On the remaining half, place one slice of Havarti Cheese. Put it in the oven and watch it. It should take about 3 to 4 minutes to melt the cheese. Once the cheese is good and melted, remove it from the oven.
Add two tomato slices on top of the roast beef and then put the top half on the sandwich. Cut the sandwich in half, and if necessary you might want to add a toothpick to hold it together. Enjoy!
